About Our Client
Our client is a global manufacturer and supplier of home furnishings with world class, 45,000m2, vertically integrated factories in China & Poland.
Their growth both in the UK & Internationally has been phenomenal, leading to significant investment into their Made to Measure blinds channel. This latest exciting period of growth includes a new world class Made to Measure factory in Poland, supplying a wide base of customers across the UK & Europe.
The business is continuously expanding and is going through an exciting period of growth. Current client base includes both domestic and international based retailers including B&Q, Dunelm, John Lewis, The Range, Home Bargains, Castorama, Auchan, Gifi, Babou and Hornbach to name a few. Our client, being a true market leader supply all major retail multiples, over 30 retailers globally and over 2,300 shops.
The business is heavily driven by building long term relationships with retailers and distributors which is evidenced by them supplying their clients with market leading insights, observations across SKU performance and promotions. This contributes to their USP's, genuinely making them the most exciting business in their specialist market!
This is an awesome opportunity for an experienced sales professional currently excelling in the Made to Measure sector. As a National Account Manager it will be your responsibility to deliver the Made to Measure concept to both existing and new customers paying specific attention to the online market. The successful candidate will also strive to build long term relationships with the account base while maximising sales opportunities, achieving company revenue, profit and business growth objectives.
This role will be based in the UK with occasional travel to Europe; the successful candidate will be expected in the UK HQ in the East Midlands a minimum of twice a week.
Further to account management and business development it will be crucial for you to work cross functionally to utilise your effectiveness. The successful candidate will also be responsible for but not limited to;
- Develop and following up the Key Account Plans for your retail multiple account base
- Manage all aspects of the commercial negotiations
- Deliver the sales margin against your target
- Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively
- Liaise directly with stores to ensure implementation of account plans
Needs to be able to build and maintain relationships throughout the account business - not only with the commercial team, but also with manufacturing in Poland, Marketing, Supply Chain and all other disciplines. These need to be built both vertically and horizontally throughout the business.
The Successful Applicant
The successful National Account Manager will have a proven track record within the Made to Measure blind industry. This role will catapult someone from within the industry in their career therefore we specifically need candidates to have existing contacts within the online retailer channel within the Made to Measure blinds sector. The candidate will be hungry to drive for success, plan time effectively and be able to hit the ground running in terms of negotiating new business.
This is your chance to take ownership and direction, working closely with the COO to drive the commercial strategy of the Made to Measure channel, the chosen National Account Manager will also possess the following virtues;
- A successful track record in the Made to Measure channel
- Have proven experience of delivering new product collections to online and high-street retailers season by season
- Detail orientated
- Have a technical understanding (product base/ be able to learn it)
- Creative and have the ability to think outside of the box
- Be able to view situations with a holistic view point
- None corporate
- You will be based within 2 hours of the East Midlands.
