Farm Trader | Gloucestershire | £DOE
We are working with one of the largest Agri-business in the UK looking to bring some fresh talent to their very successful farm trading team on a 12 month contract. They work very closely with the rural population getting involved with local events and building meaningful relationships with farmers and businesses alike.
Within this role you would be leading the push and development of the business, products and services provided in line with agreed targets to ensure consistent growth. The area has massive potential so really looking for someone who can get in there and make it their own!
It is also an opportunity to get involved with the local community and develop new and existing relationships which will contribute to overall growth of the business. This would allow you to buy products from new and existing suppliers to hit targets and maximise the potential of each customer.
As part of this role you would be working with agronomists, internal managers and grain storage professionals so a fantastic degree of communication skills at all levels is essential to succeeding and working successfully as a team.
To be successful in this role you would possess the following characteristics:
Great commercial awareness and success in dealing with farmers in previous roles either at a trainee or junior level.
The ability to build and maintain relationships with existing and new business, along with the resilience to maintain steady growth.
An excellent skill set, high numeracy and literacy along with good Microsoft office skills.
A degree in agriculture, agri-business or related growing qualification. Should you have Basis or Facts this would be advantageous.
