Managing both the internal call centre team as well as the external account management team, leading, coaching and training a high performance team and environment.

My client is the UK's leading independent company operating within their sector. My client has experienced exceptional growth in recent years and continues to grow and expand and this Head of Service role is a business critical hire.


The Head of Service will be responsible for:-
  • being the customer first champion within the business
  • setting clear and precise customer strategy
  • leading the internal call centre team
  • leading the external team of account managers
  • taking ownership of key accounts and the relationship
  • regular review meetings with all major customers to discuss feedback and actions
  • adhere to contract obligations
  • use innovation and feedback to continually impress key customers
  • ensure service delivery to all customers is at a high level at all times
  • demand best practice at all times from all members of the team


The successful candidate for this Head of Service role will:-
  • be a leader of people and enjoy being one
  • have experience of managing very successful internal and external sales teams
  • have experience of leading a 'customer service' strategy or programme in previous roles
  • be driven, ambitious and set very high standards
  • have a track record of managing high performance teams; recruiting, managing, developing and improving their people and teams
  • have experience within a service led business
  • have a track record of setting KPIs and measuring performance and output of teams
  • experience of managing a team of at least 30 with first and second line management
  • be an innovator, continually looking for better ways of delivering first class service to customers
  • have managed an internal sales / call centre team
  • have managed field sales / external account management teams
  • be based within a daily commute of the Maidenhead office

Job Offer

A salary of £70,000 to £75,000 DOE + extensive benefits
