Procurement Manager

Role: Procurement Manager
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000
Location: Hertfordshire

A successful and growing business within the fresh produce sector is currently in the search for a Procurement Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the procurement for the business for positive future growth, maintaining strong relationships throughout; ensuring processes are cost-effective and efficient whilst delivering for the customers on time and in full.

Responsibilities:
·Getting the best price and quality for purchases
·Developing good relationships with suppliers to ensure everything runs smoothly.
·Working with suppliers to ensure that key processes are running efficiently and cost-effectively
·Managing systems
·Work with farm managers and sales to develop appropriate long term plans to deliver the right product all year round to guarantee supply for customers
·Oversee stock management and waste levels for all categories
·Maintain clear scope for future innovation

Overall the successful candidate will have solid procurement experience within the food manufacturing industry; ideally fresh produce. They will also need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment whilst maintaining standards and efficiency, utilising strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
