Your new company
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Food Technology expert to contribute to the continued growth of one of the UK's best known retailers. With a loyal customer base and a reputation for quality and value, they are expanding the Technology team to keep pace with the market, and thus opportunities have been created for ambitious and talented Food Technologists

Your new role
As a Technologist, you will play a lead role in preserving and maintaining the quality of their products through the management of the supply base. Working in tandem with the Buyers and the NPD teams you will drive food safety to ensure all products are compliant with UK legislation and standards. You will be pivotal in the supplier approval procedures and the ongoing management of the compliance, innovation and continuous improvement processes. Whilst some of your time will be spent at their modern and well equipped headquarters in the north west of England, the job holder will be required to travel to suppliers throughout the UK and internationally. Thus applicants will be welcome from outside of the North West.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered you will need to have a proven track record of success as a Food Technologist, preferably within a retail FMCG environment, or for an FMCG Supplier, working closely with the retailers. You will have attained a high degree of competency in HACCP, and be an experienced auditor with a strong knowledge of BRC Global Standards for Food Safety. Furthermore, you will need to have strong commercial acumen, a can do attitude, possess first rate influencing skills and thrive in an environment where the pace of change lies at the heart of their success.
