Head of UK Sales – London (home based)

Our client is a leading international supplier to large retail chains of high quality branded food related homeware products, with offices in Amsterdam, UK, Hong Kong and Australia. They develop, source and sell products globally for a variety of world class brands and names that you’ll recognise in a heartbeat.

Your challenge:

Our clients UK operation is set to be one of the priority markets and shows strong potential. This is a role for someone who wants to build the sales function as well as the bottom line, so you won’t be daunted to know that our success in the UK market will be down to you to lead. Your plans. Your strategy. Your team! So you’ll need to be truly “hands on” and willing to “do the doing” until you know it’s time to build the team and share the workload.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building and owning relationships with customers at all levels, up to senior management and C suite where appropriate
  • P&L including customer profitability and net margin targets for the UK
  • Route to market strategy, customer and channel plans – right through to execution
  • Lead and agree contract negotiations
  • Recruit the team in line with growth trajectory
  • Frequent travel, mainly throughout the UK will be required


  • C6-10 years sales experience and knowledge of the UK consumer and retail sector
  • Account management experience of one or all of department stores, kitchen / homeware specialists, Grocery non food or DIY sheds
  • Proven commercial track record
  • Team management experience and developer of people

The role will report to the Global Sales Director.
