The role as Commercial Manager will be responsible for driving National accounts and driving a team of 3 for strategic growth in the long term, at an exciting time for the business.

Client Details

Based in the West Midlands, our client are a leading provider of Meat & Poultry products to the Grocery, Retail & Discounter channel. We are looking to enhance service offering and long term growth with the addition of a Commercial Manager to align the UK and meet future objectives.


The Commercial Manager will be responsible for the following;
  • Assist the Commercial Director in the development and implementation of the business plan
  • Drive a team of 3 across Sales & Management
  • Implement strategy across the UK business and drive growth across Retail & Grocery accounts
  • Manage and deliver the Customer P&L at agreed budgeted levels
  • Measure NPD, Promotion budgets are implemented on time to achieve results
  • Identify sales channel gaps and pro-actively work to develop and agree commercial proposals to drive the business forward


In order to be successful as Commercial Manager, we are looking for the following profile;
  • Have in depth experience of FMCG and major retailer knowledge
  • Experience within Food Manufacturing or Retail
  • Be highly analytical and well organised
  • Be creative, confident and assertive
  • Have strong negotiation skills being able to take lead when working with key retailers
  • Have full understanding of the end to end generating demand process including all aspects of the innovation and development process
  • Ideally Degree Educated
  • Midlands based
