Overview
You will be working for an organically growing commodity company. The business has built a reputation around the reliable sourcing and distribution of hazardous goods commodities.
Due to the volatility of current international trade agreements, logistics and export functions are among the most varied and challenging roles to perform at the highest levels. The business is keen to preserve their reputation for excellent by hiring committed professionals who can balance priorities and remain focused on quality work.
Role
You will be assisting the Operations Manager to set up key operational functions to enable further organic growth whilst assisting the logistic team in the core of the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing purchase and sales orders.
- Analysis and reporting to the Operations Manager and various stakeholders in the business.
- Preparing logistics and operations information as requested by the Operations Manager.
- Making sure all relevant documents are in place for export on the products.
- Working with the operations team to identify key areas to develop the in-house ERP system.
Candidate
- Export knowledge essential.
- Experience with SKU and inventory management is essential.
- Bulk and/or finished-goods shipping essential - ideally hazardous goods.
- Strong IT skills including Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)
- Essential of having a degree or equivalent working experience.
- A strong self-starting attitude is desirable as success in this role will be measured by the influence that you have on the business.
