Senior National Account Manager – Tesco
Only ‘foodies’ need apply
My client is one of the fastest-growing food businesses in the UK that predominantly supplies food in UK and Europe to the major retail/grocery players. They have been at the forefront of categories like continental meats and antipasti that have fundamentally changed the eating habits of the UK. The business is focused on delivering high levels of customer service, product and packaging innovation on which the company was built.
This position will report directly into the Head of Retail. Your objective will be to build on their experience and reputation in the UK by continuing to deliver added value to Tesco.
Position Summary
The primary focus of this position will be managing one of their biggest and most prestigious accounts, Tesco;
- Full P & L responsibility of this multi million pounds account
- JBP negotiation, promotional strategies through market insight analysis
- Develop strategy to grow the category and identify new opportunities
- Manage NPD and EPD decisions for 3 core categories
- Key relationship management across the business including supply and technical teams
What we are looking for
You will have a proven FMCG track record of Sales in the UK market, preferably in Food across own label. You will also have:
•Experience of P&L account management across UK Grocery accounts (Tesco, Asda, JS, Waitrose, M&S)
•Strong knowledge and experience of the food market, ideally within a chilled category
•Experience of working cross-functionally to achieve results
•Has a wide variety of motivational strategies to positively influence behaviours of others
•Strong commercial and financial acumen
