Our client is a well-respected and hugely successful distributor and manufacturer of added value frozen and chilled vegetable products, with an enviable client list in the retail channel, including the top four grocery chains along with some discounters and specialist retailers. The Managing Director has number of exciting opportunities to further exploit various niches in the retail channel, and requires the assistance of an intelligent and proactive, commercially minded person to support and assist him on this exciting journey.

Partly a commercial role, and partly project / business management, this is a first class opportunity to learn from the best. Ideally suited to somebody already enjoying some success in either retail management, category management, Brand Management or sales, this role will allow you to fully develop your commercial understanding and acumen, and ultimately to progress your career into a full blow Commercial Management role. You will be exposed to every aspect of the business, including manufacturing, supply chain, sales, marketing, category management, business modelling, and forecasting. You will be mentored by the best in the business !

About you

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should be able to demonstrate a keen willingness to learn, along with some kind of success in your career to date. It is essential that you are intelligent and quick to grasp the mechanics of the business. You will be expected to climb a very steep learning curve. 

Ideally a graduate ( or of graduate calibre ), you will need to convince our client that you are compelled to learn, compelled to succeed, and intent on developing your commercial skills, as well as you career.

You should be computer literate, and be familiar to a good working level with Excel, Powerpoint and Office.

The job involves extensive travel within the UK, however you should be based within daily commuting distance of Aberdeen, as you will be required to attend regular meetings with the senior commercial executives in head office. Some international travel may also be required.

In return for your dedication and effort, our client is prepared to pay a basic starting salary of between £22,879 to £30,104 plus company car. Plus of course the most amazing career prospects.
