Our client is an international supplier of food ingredients. Having displayed strong YOY growth, the business is ambitious and is aiming to further its success in the food and drink field. The company is now looking for a Business Development Manager to hold responsibility for the south west region of England, and southern Wales.

A field-based role, we are looking for a proven sales person who has a track record of both growing profit within customers as well as capitalising on new business opportunities, which are plentiful in this area. With a vast product portfolio at your disposal, a key part of this position will be asking the right questions to really understand your customers, in order to offer them solutions that work. You will be supported by technical specialists and a dedicated team of internal sales people.

Owning your geographical patch, you shall inherit a good number of customers, and will be targeted on gross margin and turnover growth, as well as new customer acquisition. Whilst your customer base will be food and beverage manufacturers, B2B experience is not essential – what is more important is a demonstrable record in dealing with a broad product range in the food industry – so applications are encouraged from candidates who have worked for a foodservice distributor.

There is the opportunity to earn a huge bonus with this role, so we’re looking for a really hungry sales person who can capitalise on the financial incentives that are offered on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
