We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager to join our Milk Based Beverages Commercial team. In this role you will report to the Commercial Director - Europe for Milk Based Beverages and will be based at our UK head office in Leeds. As Senior Commercial Manager you will be responsible for trade/commercial marketing for Starbucks® milk based beverages in the UK. You will actively contribute to the global strategy and drive implementation of new initiatives, incl. focusing on new propositions, products and channels.



Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:

* Leading, coaching, developing and implementing new standards for the customers, sales and marketing to stay ahead of global and local competition.

* Leading the implementation of the global MBB category vision and strategy with local adaptation to maintain the very strong growth of the Starbucks® drinks in the UK market

* Locally adapting and optimizing on global campaigns from briefing stage up to and including execution

* Managing and leading external agency relationships

* Leading and driving new channels and placement strategy in store across channels (retail, convenience, on-trade, etc.)

* Maintaining and executing business performance of category and brand strategy in accordance with global and local KPIs and planning and ensuring optimal employment of the given budget - securing, assessing and improving
brand profits and managing the local brand marketing budget

* Securing strategic alignment across key stakeholders, internally and externally

* Overseeing effective use of portfolio of shopper investments instore and online

* Continuously evaluating shopper investments, analysing future plans and identifying opportunities to enhance promotion effectiveness

* Taking a holistic approach to optimizing investment based on deep understanding of promotions & other investment types from multiple perspectives (consumer, retailer and financial)

* Driving collaboration with colleagues in sales, category marketing and finance to optimise promotions and shape investment priorities

* Participating in global cross country trade promotion management and trade promotion optimization program

* Leading cross-functional planning and review sessions to ensure learnings are shared widely



Skills

The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical and commercially driven with a hands-on and "get things done" attitude. You will able to translate consumer- channel- and business needs into strategy, proposition and concrete business results and will have a good understanding of the full value chain. With significant FMCG experience within the beverage category, you will also be able to create and develop constructive relationships with a range of stakeholders and will take the lead and set direction.
