Hormel Foods Corporation is a multi-billion dollar global food company operating in over 70 countries around the world with a strong reputation for innovation, quality and integrity. The company manufactures an extensive portfolio of well-known and iconic brands, many are US market leaders in their category, such as Skippy Peanut Butter and Muscle Milk. With a clear vision and strategy for growth, the business has now set its sights on significantly expanding its UK and European operations. Over the next few years, the company intends to invest heavily in these markets, including significant expenditure in brand marketing and importantly, people. 

As a result, the company is now seeking a dynamic and driven National Account Manager to take on responsibility for managing some of the UK’s Top Retail Grocery customers. This NAM role is high profile and will have a broad remit. This is a challenging role that requires strong commercial and financial acumen, with a proven track record of successfully bringing NPD to market, whilst driving profitable category growth. 

For this position, we are looking for candidates with previous National Account Executive or National Account Manager level experience within a recognised brand and/or own-label added value FMCG food/drink business, having previously worked on a Top 6 Retail account. What sets you apart from your peer group is that you can demonstrate all of the characteristics of a “Challenger” Account Manager. This means being able to fully understand the key economic and value drivers for the customer whilst challenging all aspects of the customer’s thinking.

“Challenger” NAMs offer new insights and drive the communication and growth agenda for both parties to maximum effect. Above all, you are motivated by making a real difference, challenging customer assumptions by offering new insights. You are a highly ambitious, driven individual with a personal style which enables you to work as a key member of a small, agile, fast-paced team.

There is flexibility on location but candidates will ultimately be required to work from the company’s Warwick based offices c.2-3 days per week.
