This family run company has a true passion for fresh food. With over three generations of expert knowledge, they are very established and have strived to be the best, and you could be part of this prodigious business.

You will manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer relationships (small to medium) whilst identifying and maximising any development opportunities to grow sales value and margin.


Your Responsibilities/ Requirements

Understanding of the premium casual dining market place as a chef or supplier.
Understand food provenance and why customers would pay more for certain products i.e. understand that a tomato isn't just a tomato.
Demonstrate customer centricity as well as commercial understanding. These customers are not 9-5 and the account manager will need to understand this.
Ideally someone who eats out regularly and knows the trends and fashions in the London high-end restaurant scene.
Ensure all accounts continue to trade to a high standard/ up trade through the various business tools provided for you.
You will identify margin growth opportunities and provide commercial rationale and a plan for implementation where appropriate.
You will need to achieve budgeted targets (NSV, £GP and volume) for the portfolio within agreed framework.
Maintain and complete all business reporting and customer records within the agreed timeframe.

Managing your time effectively to ensure active customer communication is key. With the support of the Customer Service/ Operations team you will be able to delegate responsibly where appropriate. Plan, prepare for customer meetings ensuring all points are followed up within an appropriate timeframe.

Be innovative and original in problem solving - don't ask for the answer, propose a solution.

Salary

Circa £40k - £50k + Car, bonus, phone laptop, pension etc.
