Packaging procurement manager

We’re going through an exciting period of growth and we need more hands on deck to help us achieve this.

To help us achieve this we’re looking for a packaging procurement manager. We’re looking for someone who’s a whizz at building productive, value- and values-led relationships to join the team. You will be responsible for creating and delivering innocent’s packaging procurement strategy for the next three years, including deciding which items are sourced directly and which via our supply chain partners; and for landing our Sustainability goals with all packaging suppliers, regardless of sourcing relationship.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be responsible for line managing a Junior Packaging Buyer; owning direct-sourced contracts and negotiating a direct-sourced  COGS spend of £20m per year on our biggest growth formats, plus manage an outsourced spend of £25m a year.

You’ll lead the way in developing a strong, long-term partnership with strategic suppliers; input into our NPD pipeline; and work closely with our filling and blending account managers to create a joined-up approach to supplier management.

You’ll be the industry innovation managers who ensure that new products are launched smoothly; you’ll identified further strategic opportunities to make our supply chain industry-leading. You’ll be key in delivering capacity to ensure 2018 is record-breaking; and you’ll be a key part in

This is a varied and fast-moving role, with the opportunity to build a new sub-team from scratch, as we are also recruiting for a Junior Packaging Buyer. This role would suit someone who is ready to take the next step out of the day to day of procurement activities and demonstrate broad, contextualised strategic thinking for the long-term of innocent’s business. You’ll have your finger on the pulse of the packaging industry and be looking for a small-feeling company where you will get your voice heard through excellent stakeholder management.
