The Business
A dynamic and market leading food supplier with a heritage of good quality food products. Over the years they have developed their retail presence through a number of shrewd acquisitions in the market. Due to this horizontal growth the team has increased over the past few years with a number of long term career prospects and development opportunities available.
The Role
Picking up the category management of major accounts will be key to your responsibilities. You will also be expected to drive growth and the category with the insights you provide. You will be expected to present balanced and unbiased advice, which is commercially savvy for both businesses and grow the relationship long-term.
The Person
You will already be operating as a category manager in a business where your next internal step is unclear or looking to take the next leap from a more junior position. As a category manager, ideally you will already have exposure to a broad category marketing skill-set within an FMCG environment. However, this comes second in importance to the right attitude. You will be naturally inquisitive and never be satisfied with an answer. ‘Why’ and ‘How’ will be your favourite words and you will have an ambition and desire to ‘be the best’.
