We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Analyst to be based in our Head Office in Heathrow.
Reporting into the Commercial Director, you would be responsible for performing timely and accurate financial and commercial analysis of the planning & forecasting process. This is great opportunity for a pro-active individual who has strong analytical skills, with a high degree of accuracy and a keen eye for detail.
Key responsibilities
- Optimisation of sales and profit by analysis of performance data and manipulation of forward orders
- To manage the SOR process to ensure waste is maintained at target levels
- To maintain the forecasting tool(s) and manage data quality
- Ensure robust predicted demand figures are generated to inform the Sales and Operational planning process
- Overlay of business intelligence (customer, market, trend and historical data) onto the forecast(s) to provide analysis and insight into trends
- Provision of regular management information and store/sector specific analysis to identify and unlock new growth opportunities
- Actively involved in planning, budgeting and forecasting process to ensure financial targets are achieved
- Creating day to day demand plans and complete retrospective activity analysis for a given SKU or promotional event to ensure that customer requirements are met and profitable business is sustained
- To provide customer intelligence to enhance the reliability of sales forecasts and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimise performance to deliver business effectiveness and cost efficiency
- To manage customer relations with regards to store ordering and volume requirements
This role is a full-time, working 40 hours per week. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
The ideal candidate
- Degree or equivalent in a fast-paced Commercial or Supply chain environment or similar discipline
- Focused on achieving high standards by working on your own initiative and taking accountability for results
- Ability to influence a range of stakeholders
- Be proactive and resilient whilst maintaining an adaptive approach
- Take a fresh & unrestrictive view on current ways of doing things to stimulate innovation and new approaches
- Maintain the appropriate balance of speed and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build good team relationships
