Category Manager

Based in North Yorkshire, McCain are a multibillion turnover organization who still experience consistent growth. Culture is at the heart of this world-leading food manufacturer of frozen and chilled potato products.
They are now looking to appoint a Category Manager to turn insight into actions which unlock category growth and to work with all internal and external partners to develop and deliver them.
Primary responsibilities:
- Help deploy the category vision and identify relevant category opportunities for growth
- Deliver range reviews to assigned customers
- Provide data based insight to steer and support new product development and positioning, range management, as well as identifying clear and achievable opportunities
- Be the shopper expert and build shopper metrics into your recommendations
- Analyse promotions for assigned customers and recommend actions
- Develop trusted category relationships within your customer across the functions and channels
The successful candidate:
- Degree education or equivalent
- At least three years’ experience in Category Management
- Experience of IRI/ Nielsen/ Kantar databases with Dunnhumby an advantage
- Range review and merchandising skills
- Able to develop and deploy category strategies
- Excellent communication skills
