Technologist - Food and Drink

Your new company
A household-name retailer who stock an impressive range of branded and own brand products. This innovative company pride itself on its wide range of products with a continuous flow of new stock. This company boasts a modern open plan head office where you will have the opportunity to work alongside colleagues who are passionate about their place of work. They are looking for a Technologist to co-ordinate the processes with their own-brand Food, Drink and Impulse products.

Your new role
You will play a key role in upholding the quality standards of all food and drink products in the own label range. Your role will be focused on delivering product quality, safety, legality and supplier performance. Working with buyers, brand support, supply chain & external suppliers you will play a key role in the delivery of consistent quality products that meet legal and company standards and policies. On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with the QA Team helping them to maintain accurate product information ensuring standards are clearly defined and adhered to, and you will play a vital role in product & supplier selection / approval processes.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this exciting and challenging role, you will ideally possess experience in similar role within food retail, food service or food manufacturing, with a particular emphasis on Own Brand products. Ideally QA Auditor trained, you will need to be a role model for accuracy for aspects of product and packaging, with a keen eye for detail. You will have good communication skills, be a team player and be able to manage changing priorities and a busy workload. HACCP would be advantageous.
