The role for Assistant Category Manager:
You will work with the category manager to support a selected portfolio with some autonomy opportunity of your own. With previous experience in a category related role you will use your skills to review ranges utilising your ability to collate and summarise data. Investigate customer, competitor and trend changes, reacting quickly to the market to keep your category relevant. As the Assistant Category Manager you will manage sales values, margins and volume sales reporting findings to relevant internal and external stakeholders.

- Provide customer, market, commercial insight
- Collate and manage, analyse all data to improve growth plans
- Reporting into a matrix structure
The requirements for Assistant Category Manager:
You will need to demonstrate commercial acumen with previous experience in a category or buyer type role with proven ability to manage various data and summarise quickly and accurately to grow your category.
- Previous category, buying or similar experience
- From a retail type, fast paced background or similar
- Date driven - ability to manipulate and summarise
- Commercially minded
- Strong negotiation and relations building skills
