THE COMPANY:
We are one of the market leading Greeting Cards publishers in the UK and are a well established company in our field, having been established over 70 years ago.
Part of a major UK group, we have the benefit of retaining our status and working ethic as a mid sized company but are supported by a stable and ambitious financial infrastructure.
We specialise in providing bespoke services to both retail and charities in regards to their Greeting cards requirements but also publish related products including branded calendars and gift wrap.
Although present within retail we are particularly proud of our working relationship with charities, and work with many of the leading National and Regional charities.
Due to a highly successful 2017 we are seeking to appoint a dedicated Account Manager to support our clients in our Northern England and Scotland regions.


THE ROLE:
This is a fantastic opportunity to inherit an excellent, well established sales region for a thriving, innovative cards and giftware company and manage accounts across our M5/M6 corridor area.
You will be responsible for manager 120 accounts within the non-food retail sector.
These will mainly include independent card shops, gift shops and garden centres.
In addition to this you will be responsible for locating new potential retail customers in the area and will be targeted on overview growth of revenue on the area.
This is an extremely relationship led role, where you will be managing relationships with accounts that have been trading with our company for many years.
Due to our main unique selling points being quality driven, many of our accounts are premium outlets within the sector.
An excellent opportunity for a rounder, experienced account manager who enjoys enhancing strong genuine commercial relationships.


THE APPLICANT.
The successful candidate will be a natural relationship builder with a flare for demonstrating growth via effective Account Management
• Candidates must have previous experience selling non-food products to the retail/FMCG sector.
• Experience in selling to gift shops, card shops or garden centres will be of particular interest.
• Candidates must be target driven, structured sales professionals who have no objection to covering a large geographical area.
• Candidates must have a “soft sell” approach and have strong relationship building skills.

This provides an excellent opportunity to work in an extremely Account Management focussed position, with the emphasis on developing relationships.
