Responsible for the sales to and development of business within Independent Outdoor retailers, to increase the company's sales, profitability and positive market profile.

Description



  • Effectively manage the assigned area in an efficient manner to achieve the targeted turnover.






  • Establish objectives for the sales calls which conform with personal and organisational sales objectives.






  • Provide support to customers with the aim of increasing their turnover and product range taken by undertaking merchandising, providing staff training and participating in promotional events as required.






  • Work closely with the internal sales team to meet the needs of the company and or customers.






  • Make the required efforts to establish and maintain productive working relationships.






  • Regularly evaluate the established call route for the area and amend as required to ensure that it continues to make the most effective use of the available resources.






  • Communicate with colleagues and the office in general as required to undertake the role effectively, including the timely submission of daily call reports, to provide feedback obtained from customers, and address any issues as required.






  • Identify and follow through suitable new business opportunities within the geographical area.






  • Ensure that any complaints are handled in accordance with organisation and customer service standards and procedures.






  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of the company's product portfolio.






  • Advise customers of any changes in policy and working practices as required.






  • Adopt the manner and appearance which is appropriate to the sales context and conforms to the organisational requirements.






  • Ensure that all elements of the job are undertaken in line with current company procedures.






  • Assist colleagues as required in areas that support the overall aims of the business.
