Account Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join FORE Retail Consultancy Ltd the UKs leading retail consultancy specialising in Newspapers and Magazines as a Category Manager. We now require an experienced Category Manager to be based in our clients head office based in the South East of England. The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary along with some great benefits as well as a chance to further their career.

The Job Role:

• Own and deliver category plans to increase our clients profitability
• Maximize all business and commercial relationship opportunities within the supply chain
• Negotiate supplier agreements
• Generate reports and analyse data to act on and make recommendations on Range, Sales Plans and Promotional activity
• Monitor performance to drive continuous improvements and added value

What you'll need to have:

• Experience of the Newspaper and Magazine Market preferred but not essential
• Degree calibre or appropriate relevant experience
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation skills
• Self-motivated and results driven with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with ability to assimilate information
• Demonstrable commercial awareness and good business acumen
• Proven experience of negotiation in an end-to-end Category Management or Buying role
• IT literate in appropriate Microsoft and database systems
• Strong relationship management and networking skills
• Able to work on own and as part of a team
• Creative, resilient and able to constructively challenge and influence
• Driving licence (travel and overnight stays are required)
