NTU is a great place to work.  We take care of our staff with flexible packages, career progression and opportunities. We value all our staff because we know that it takes a strong and diverse workforce to maintain the kind of success we have achieved.

Our award-winning research attracts international acclaim and we are proud of our strategic partnerships.  This is all down to the ability of our people to shape, create and innovate, wherever they work with us.

2017 has been a year full of prizes, publicity and recognition for the NTU community, culminating in our receipt of the prestigious University of the Year award. Along the way, we’ve recorded some of the highest student satisfaction levels in the country in the 2017 National Student Survey, and achieved the TEF gold standard for the quality of our teaching. We are also extremely proud to have been named Modern University of the Year in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.

Our rise up the league tables, alongside a number of prestigious national awards, demonstrate the potential that creating and forging excellent partnerships while harnessing the talents of all our people, can bring. Join us in our mission to become a university of the future and take your career to the next level too.

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) has developed a reputation as the UK’s leading modern higher education institution. This is based on its comprehensive and innovative academic offering, relevant research excellence, and deep-rooted links with business, industry, and civic institutions. Following the launch of the Startegic Plan, the University continues to innovate and invest in its engagement with employers and business partners.

NTU’s strategy for external engagement prioritises building strategic, multifaceted relationships with organisations that realise mutual benefits for both the University and its collaborators. Key to this aim, NTU has established a new team to drive strategic partnerships development through Strategic Partnership Managers.

  • Strategic Partnerships Manager Life Sciences, Food & Drink.

This role will lead the University’s external engagement activity with key strategic partners. The successful candidate will be consummate business and relationship developers with the ability to translate sectoral policy and engagement practices into business opportunities for the University. The Partnership Managers will also establish sectoral intelligence to identify target organisations and maximise the outcomes from existing and new relationships across the University’s portfolio.

The successful candidate will establish themselves as the University “go to individual” and develop a strong understanding of sectoral trends, challenges and opportunities. This will bring focus on and clarity to the skills, talent, research and innovation needs of their sector, and opportunities for both the University and its partners that result in long-term, mutually beneficial strategic relationships. Your track record of initiating, facilitating and maintaining successful partnerships will be demonstrable and exemplary, highlighted by your successful experience of working in a diverse organisational structure.

If you thrive in a dynamic environment of challenge and opportunity, have experience of working on a multidisciplinary basis, and have ambition and passion in developing long-term value-driven partnerships - Nottingham Trent University can offer an exciting role, a competitive salary and the professional support to ensure you succeed.
