We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Brand Manager to work on our Anchor brand on a fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. In this role you will be based at our head office in Leeds and will report to the BSM Director. You will have line management responsibility for a Brand Manager and an Assistant Brand Manager.



Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Developing a long term 3-5yr Brand Strategy with a clear vision and plan in order to deliver business goals and ambitions
  • Successfully implementing strategy in order to deliver immediate business goals and commitments and ensure future growth across the plan
  • Developing and owning the brand identity and positioning this in the UK market
  • Leading the development of consumer insight to develop and define brand NPD strategy and ensure effective delivery of NPD
  • Leading key agency relationships day to day, including non-global agency evaluation and selection
  • Strategic planning - including role of sub-brands. Ensuring that the brand strategy is aligned with category strategy
  • Developing of trade promotional guidelines and channel strategy in collaboration with shopper marketing and sales functions
  • Prioritising activities and allocation of necessary resources across short & long term
  • Developing the media and communications strategy
  • Representing local brand activity & resource in global forums and inputting to the global development of brand strategy. Agreement to local application and filtering of global strategies and initiatives accordingly.
  • Line management responsibility for a Brand Manager and an Assistant Brand Manager




Skills

To be successful in this role you will have significant brand management experience within FMCG and a track record of effective brand management and results. You will hold a business or bachelor degree and/or a further marketing qualification. With strong leadership skills you will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work well with others as part of a team. You will be creative, confident and outgoing with a true, demonstrable passion for brands.
