Our client is one of the biggest names in the world of sportswear, with a huge portfolio of brands, ranging across every aspect of sports. Operating in over 20 countries, with 2000+ employees, the company is still on the rise, and is now looking for a Market Strategy & Planning executive to be based in their North London Brand office. This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Executive with the drive and ambition to further their career. The role encompasses multiple aspects of the company, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to gain a varied and complete understanding across all business functions.

The role

As the successful Market Strategy & Planning Executive, you will work closely and cross-functionally with the Customer, Brand, Demand Planning, Finance, Sales and Marketing teams. You will be responsible for helping the Head of Sales & Planning to internally analyse the company as a whole, to ensure that all campaigns are consistent and effective across customers and brands. You will be tasked with driving the use of data within the commercial function, ensuring that is it used in the most efficient way to identify potential opportunities and issues. This an internally analytical role and the successful Market Strategy & Planning Executive must be numerically competent, data driven and have an extremely keen eye for detail.

The ideal fit

  • Have experience in a Commercial Planning or Sales Operations role at executive level – candidates with a background in Account Manager and Category Management will also be considered
  • Proven success with working cross-functionally
  • A highly numerical and analytical individual
  • Previous experience in a customer facing sales role is preferable
  • Previous experience in any or all of the following functions: Marketing, Strategy, Demand Planning, Category and Sales
  • Proven track record of success and ‘first class’ execution.
