BRAND MANAGER OWN LABEL

*FMCG, OWN LABEL AND UK MARKET experience necessary*

My Client is blue-chip, food manufacturing company with a £multi-million portfolio of iconic, category-leading own label and branded household favourites.  They are innovative with an exciting NPD  pipeline and plenty of scope for career progression within a fast-paced environment. 

Key accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Management and delivery of Own Label product launches and change projects on grocery working with cross functional project teams e.g. NPD/ Factory and origination teams
  • Project implementation on pack change developments
  • Working with Customer Brand Managers to identify opportunities and to create NPD / EPD funnel and the successful delivery of these projects
  • Supporting the Customer Brand Managers on customer meeting preparation and organisation
  • Day to day response to adhoc retailer and business requests including samples and store visits
  • Tracking of gate processes and signoffs to ensure compliance to processes
  • Supporting Customer Brand Manager on P&L creation, product tenders and pricing for new products working closely with factories and procurement

EXPERIENCE

  • FMCG background with Own Label / Private Label
  • Development / Launch of new products
  • Understanding consumer and customer needs
  • Project management – leading projects and management of project tracking
  • Cross functional working

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS

  • Ability to manage complex, cross functional projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with an adaptive style
  • Numerate with the ability to interpret, manipulate and effectively manage business cases, budgets consumer and market data
  • Strong commercial acumen as well as the ability to think creatively
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
