European Market Quality Manager- Estrella Damm

Background

Since the launch of Estrella Damm in UK, Damm has identified UK as the most important growth export markets for the brand. The international success of the brand, with its mediterranean style, quality and brewing heritage that is associated with the “Beer of Barcelona”, has enabled it to compete in the world lager market as one of the most exciting and fastest growing  beer brands in recent years.

Purpose of the Job/Context

Following the guidelines of the Market Quality and International Brewing Manager, and in coordination with the commercial department, to study from a quality point of view, the adequacy of the products / services of the company to the European market. Support in the adaptation of the products and services offered by Damm to the requirements of the customers in that market. Establish and maintain the communication channels that allow to collect the inputs that may come from the European market for the continuous improvement process in product quality.

To give support in the potentiation of the brewing culture in the Market, enhancing the valorization of our products and giving an added value compared to the one given by our competitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management of market complaints and knowledge of the processes that link the Group with the customer and identify opportunities for improvements

Warehouses and distributors control from a point of view of quality:

Conducting housekeeping audits

Rotation and freshness of Damm products in each market

 Enhance good practices in warehouse management

 Asses in Quality Control at reception and handling at destination

Conduct quality audits at points of sale in the market both on-trade and off-trade. Conduct visits and audits of draught facilities; ensure the maintenance of the FIFO, the correct handling of our products and the propellant gases used.

Promote brewing culture by acting as a perfect server and quality consultant at sales points. To participate in the training and enhance the brewing culture in the market with personalized treatment especially in the facilities of customers cataloged as "VIP".

Give training to all who deal in the point of sale about brewing culture and how to handle our product at the points of sale. (Bartender Guide). To transmit recommendations on hygiene and food safety.

Act as a "proximity" person at the point of sale when a problem occurs with our products or draught installations. Be able to determine the cause of the problems and apply preventive and corrective measures for both kegs and bottles and other products in the Damm portfolio

 Support the Quality Market and Brewery International Manager to provide support to the Commercial and Marketing Departments with which they should be coordinated and plan and implement actions

To do benchmarking and detection of possible trends that each market has

 Collaborate in the creation of specifications and indicators to monitor the services provided by external companies in the on trade channel.

Establish in conjunction with the Quality Market and International Brewing Manager, a system to monitor products and services to ensure compliance with market needs.
