Main Purpose:  Design and Implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of BWL products and activities.

BWL is looking for a commercially focused, dynamic and inspirational marketing professional with experience of strategic planning, portfolio management, new product development and brand building across a diverse range of markets.  The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a passion for the job, able to employ unique marketing techniques to maximise the profitable development of BWLs portfolio.  A skilled marketing strategist with the ability to drive creativity and enthusiasm in others.
                                    
DAILY DUTIES / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of our products and business activities.
  • Lead the marketing team, providing feedback and encouragement to respond to customer and business needs, maximising human potential.
  • Lead the development of brand building and trade marketing to drive consumer demand.
  • Plan and execute brand building campaigns based on consumer insight, to support and develop existing products as well as launching new products.
  • Build relationships to allow us to align the marketing plans of our customers and distributors with those of our business and brand strategies.
  • Maximise the use of PR and social media to raise BWL’s profile, building strategic partnerships with external parties such as the media.
  • Plan marketing activities/events to showcase BWL products and brand development.
  • Use market research to keep abreast of trends and competitors marketing movements.
  • Control of marketing budgets and allocation of resources between projects.
  • Liaison with customers as appropriate.

 KEY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Director preferably in FMCG, ideally with Wine/Beverage/Food.
  • Excellent leadership and organizing skills, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in business administration, marketing and communications or relevant field.
  • Professional chartered marketer (CIM) is preferable.
  • Experience in European and International markets is preferable.
  • Proven experience of brand building and trade marketing.
  • Up to speed with current and online marketing techniques and best practices.
  • Analytical and creative thinking.
  • Evidence of marketing campaigns that have delivered a strong return on investment.
