A great opportunity to join an award-winning fast-paced business as a Buyer.

An award-winning local employer, this is a fast moving and complex operation that supplies a number of the major multiples with a range of market leading products. They are now looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Buyer to join a talented team. It's a fast-paced role managing site specific categories across ingredients and packaging with a big focus on NPD. You'll also take responsibility for lead buying within the Group, ensuring that the business's supply costs and exposure are minimised whilst supplier performance is maximised.

Key accountabilities in this role will include:

Cost management

• Working with NPD
• Supplier Management
• Risk Management
• Negotiate short and long term contracts
• Implementing change

We are looking for outgoing individuals with a keen interest in the purchasing / buying / procurement fields. You will need to have some experience of working in this function before with excellent relationship managing skills. While not essential, knowledge of the food industry or FMCG sectors will be a big advantage.
