Business Development Manager

The Company

Our client is one of the fastest growing fresh food groups in the UK supplying the leading supermarkets with high quality, innovative branded & private label products that win market share and loyalty from their customer base. Given the recent growth and pipeline of new products they are set to launch in the UK , the business now requires an excellent and experienced Business Development Manager to lead their growth across retail and high-end foodservice customers.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Director and supported by an award winning NPD and marketing team, the role will identify and target customers within the new channels specifically supermarkets and international foodservice providers (like Pret, Costa etc). The role will build and develop awareness of the new product range through effective marketing and category presentations to suitable Buyers and Senior Buyers across the UK and European supermarkets and foodservice customers. As well as leading business development the role will also work very closely with the factory teams across operations, NPD and technical to continue to shape and develop the product range specific to key customer requirements.

The Candidate

To apply for this role you must have significant business development experience within the UK supermarket or high-end foodservice providers or alternatively an established track record of business development within an National Account Management role.  Candidates will be able to demonstrate solid knowledge of sales & marketing techniques within the food manufacturing sector including analysis of insight and market data but above all, candidates will enjoy building new relationships and have the passion and personality to represent the exciting product range.
