Business Development Manager - Wholesale Foodservice.

£44,871 - £50,127 Basic plus commission on sales plus company car and other benefits.

Our client is a well-established specialist distributor of Italian and French foods, with an enviable client base in end users, small restaurant chains, contract caterers as well as via the wholesale channel. The company has massive potential to grow across all channels, however it is the delivered wholesale channel that holds the greatest promise. For this reason we have been briefed to identify and retain an expert in the foodservice delivered wholesale channel. Your expertise and experience will likely be selling to regional ( delivered ) wholesalers, and members of foodservice wholesale buying groups ( the likes of Sterling, Fairway, Caterforce. Landmark etc . Exposure to some kind of end users would also be valuable ( whether restaurants, schools, pubs, contact caterers or food manufacturing ).

Although you will be given some existing accounts to manage and nurture, the main thrust of the role will be to turn on new business, new customers and new revenue streams. You should be an accomplished new business person, and have limitless energy and tenacity.

The role is home based, however you should live in either the Midlands or the south of England.

In return for your energy and dedication, our client is prepared to pay a generous basic salary of between £44,871 and £50,127 plus commission on sales plus company car and other benefits. Opportunities for career advancement are also substantial for the right candidate.
