Procurement Manager | Fresh Produce | Kent

Based in Kent, our client is a progressive fresh produce company who is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team. Ideally you will come from a fruit buying background but fresh produce procurement will be essential.

The Role

To manage the procurement of one or more of their key categories to meet customer orders and quality demands.
You will be responsible for prices to the growers and hauliers.
You will plan all the programmes to include volumes with growers to meet the supermarket specifications.

The Candidate

Will have fresh produce experience, ideally having bought fruit in a previous role from across the world.
Must have a few years experience of planning programmes with overseas growers.
Will have excellent communication, with good attention to detail.
Strong negotiation skills
Ideally Spanish speaking but this is not essential.
Be flexible with regards to travel as suppliers will be overseas.
