Non-Executive Director

National Milk Records (NMR) plc is the leading supplier of milk recording services in the UK, providing management information on individual cow's performance in terms of milk quality, yield and fertility and is acknowledged as the market leader. Since its formation in 1943, NMR has grown substantially and has developed into an integrated service provider (including genetics and laboratory testing) working for farmers and milk buyers as well as an independent source of data for other sector people or organisations within the sector. NMR is quoted on the NEX market.

In order to help the management team deliver the expected growth and continue the focus on the increasing demands of corporate governance, we have been asked to help find an additional Non-Executive Director for the board, and are keen to meet outstanding candidates with substantial Food or Agri Industry knowledge.

The right candidate will have:
An outstanding track record of success within the agri-food sector.
Excellent professional credibility and experience of delivering growth and of the Sales and Marketing function in particular.
A good working knowledge of the food safety and/or the dairy sector supply chain would be great but what is vital is a real empathy with farmers and desire to make a difference.
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills and very sound commercial acumen and financial awareness.
Will be capable of chairing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee of the NMR board.
