Supply Chain Planner

Are you a meticulous Supply Chain Planner with aspirations to work for a purposeful, sustainable and growing ethical brand? We are looking for a dynamic Supply Chain Planner to join Pukka’s Supply Chain team in a pivotal role.

Based in our Bristol head office, our Supply Chain Planner (12 month fixed term contract, full time hours) role comes with a competitive salary between £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (pro rata) depending on experience, alongside a benefits package designed to nurture your wellbeing and personal development.

About the role

Our Supply Chain team is the beating heart of Pukka, and this role is crucial to Pukka’s success. You will be responsible for planning all our tea finished goods with our factory and managing the supply of our beautiful packaging. Working closely with internal teams and suppliers you’ll ensure the right supply to our customers across the full range of Tea. Our fantastic sales growth is driven by our pace and innovation, so your job description is only half the story. Keeping a clear head and acting purposefully will help you to achieve in this role.

On a weekly basis you’ll plan the production of all our teas with our factory and work with suppliers to ensure the delivery of required stock levels to support Pukka’s phenomenal sales. You’ll provide suppliers with a stock demand plan based on forecasted sales, build key relationships and lead monthly supplier meetings to drive agreed KPIs. Working closely with suppliers you’ll understand their supply chain and identify opportunities that provide mutual benefit to all of us, and ultimately deliver excellent service through optimisation of our supply chain.

Day to day you’ll coordinate the despatch of materials, agree scheduling with suppliers, and chase through orders to ensure continuity of supply and order deadlines are met. You’ll be the key contact for all supplier communication, ascertaining despatch confirmation and resolving any production issues.

About you

You’ll have solid experience in a supply chain planning role (ideally within manufacturing or FMCG) and be able to demonstrate a fluent knowledge of supplier to consumer systems and processes. You’ll be degree educated or graduate calibre and have experience and knowledge of supply chain best practice. Experience gained within a food supply chain environment is desirable.

Highly organised with a project management approach, you’ll relish variety and be able to effectively manage bring forward systems. You’ll be methodical and clear-headed with a proven ability to work quickly with a focus on deadlines and thrive on delivering impeccable plans. Unflappable in the face of numerous conflicting priorities and changing deadlines, you’ll have a flexible approach to work and be able to change gear quickly as events demand.
You’ll be numerate, analytical and have good Excel skills with the ability to work with large volumes of data. A pro-active approach to problem solving, both immediate and for the longer term is essential as is the ability to work independently. 

Dynamic, persuasive and tenacious, you’ll be able to remain positive and meticulous with detail when the pressure’s on. Your approach will focus on building relationships and delivering for customers. It’s a fast-paced world here at Pukka; we’re looking for someone who can keep a level head, make tough priority decisions and demonstrate resilience.

A driving licence and your own transport to visit suppliers is essential.
