The position

We are handling an excellent, senior opportunity for a leading British manufacturer and exporter. This growing and ambitious business has made some remarkable achievements in international sales and, as a result of continued success combined with anticipated growth, the business is hiring an Export Sales Director to lead its international expansion.

The Export Sales Director will take responsibility for the international team and a turnover of approximately £20m, achieved through the effective management of an established network of distributors. The team consists of UK-based Export Business Development Executives and internationally-based Export Regional Managers and Country Managers.

Given the strategic nature of the role and the requirement to work regularly with the senior team, the export sales director will work from the office near Oxford when not travelling.

This is a manufacturer of quality products that out sell the competition as a result of innovation, durability and reputation combined with excellent service levels.

The package

The business will ultimately create a package designed to attract the desired candidate. It is expected that the salary will be in the region of £60,000-£70,000 basic plus package.

The Person

As a suitable candidate for this role you will have a wealth of international sales experience. You will also be an accomplished manager and will have managed export sales professionals, based either in the UK or internationally.

My client believes in the strong, transferable nature of the skill set possessed by senior international business professionals and has suggested that industry background is of little significance here. A location within commuting distance of Oxford is important (or the willingness to stay overnight twice per week) as is distributor management experience and fluency in a second European language. You will be organised, driven, ambitious and passionate.
