A well established and highly successful company with a diverse product range. They are one of the largest and leading manufacturers and distributors of automotive electrical, accessories and consumer products in the UK and Europe regularly achieving regular industry awards.
Due to expansion a vacancy has arisen for a National Account Manager to focus on developing the retail accounts within the business and look for new business opportunities. Working closely with the Senior NAM in the Retail Division you will develop and retain a portfolio of customers working with large nationals as well as independents and help the company grow the category. This role is highly geared around new business development and bringing on new accounts, while there are a few existing nationals to manage the emphasis would be on working with new clients they are not currently dealing with.
Apart from being driven by new business development as National Account Manager you will be ambitious and tenacious with a strong background in retail and business development of retail accounts. A proven track record of bringing on new accounts and developing accounts is essential as this is purely focussed on this. You will be highly experienced in selling and negotiating and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This would suit somebody who really enjoys the sales side of business as this is the main crux of the role with some account management on the side but predominantly business development and someone who is extremely driven. Experience in automotive would be highly desirable but a similar sector e.g. DIY / electronic / lighting would also work well.
