Job Details

Global branded food business seeks Account Manager to be focused across German market.

Within this market leading FMCG brand the International business plays a significant role with over 1/3 of sales being accounted for; being delivered outside of the UK market.

They have a significant growth plan in place to grow international sales over the next 5 years and for new markets to be at the centre of this growth. To support them in this plan they are currently recruiting for an International Account Manager to join an already well established and successful team.

We are looking for an exceptional German speaking candidate who can lead the management the German business from an account perspective.

Accountabilities:

  • Quickly gaining an understanding of the German retail market
  • Develop a clear 3-5 year plan for the brands in the market
  • Establish and maintain strong, professional relationships
  • Engage customer contacts in a category agenda, using Category data from Germany and other markets to support plans.
  • Full ownership of the P&L for the German business
  • Work closely with the Category and Marketing teams internally and with customers to plan and implement effective brand and shopper marketing activities.

To succeed in the role you will have:

  • Experience within an FMCG environment at National Account Manager level
  • Experience in sales or distributor management
  • Exceptional commercial awareness coupled with a proven track record gained within a progressive FMCG environment in national accounts
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record of success in FMCG sales
  • Demonstrated impressive business achievements through consumer insight and bringing energy & motivation to your role
  • Strong relationship-building skills, and are ready to make an impact on strategy and category plans from day one.
  • German speaking
