A well- established British business that has exclusive UK distribution for a number of exciting pet trade products. One of these is a premium quality pet food brand that is growing incredibly quickly in the UK. This is a new position created to take full advantage of the opportunity available. The job holder will have responsibility for the valuable South-East area with a brief to grow sales and distribution through existing and new customers
The role of Key Accounts Manager:
With responsibility for the South East of England and London you will inherit a portfolio of stockists. This will include quality independent pet shops, regional groups and on-line key accounts (eg. Ocado, Fetch, Viovet). Broad responsibilities will include:
Agree a sales plan with the National Sales Manager.
Use your experience or contacts to identify and visit prospect accounts.
Develop sales to existing stockist through regular field visits.
Build strong relationships with decision makers.
Be accountable for the achievement of sales and distribution goals.
The Key Account Manager profile:
We are looking for a sales professional with successful experience and a positive reputation in the pet trade. Having achieved success as a Sales Representative you want to progress your career as a Key Accounts Manager and enjoy dealing with the pet industry. We are looking for a Key Accounts Manager with the following profile:
Living in London, Surrey, Herts, Kent, Sussex, Kent, Middlesex.
Must have field sales experience selling pet food or pet accessories.
Able to demonstrate the ability to deal with key accounts and professional buyers.
Sell using personality, charisma, energy and strong social skills.
Well organised and disciplined – able to create and work an effective journey plan.
A modern and IT literate approach to business.
Ambitious and motivated by the idea of future progression.
A negotiable basic salary to £40000 plus performance based bonus company car, pension schemes mobile, laptop.
