A hands on role has arisen for switched on junior candidates looking to further their career in FMCG. Working cross discipline with various departments within the business the role effectively enables the right individual to own their own portfolio of well known products.

Client Details

My Client is a well established F&D organisation in Hampshire. Working with leading international brands they facilitate hands on experience and career development. With a transparent career structure and staff from Blue-Chip FMCG organisation they are experiencing significant growth and continue to further their market presence with a diverse brand portfolio.


This role will manage a range of key accounts within the business and also work closely with their manager to assist on theirs where appropriate. Balancing different internal strategies with these accounts such as NPD or promotional strategy. Cross functional communication will be key within this role, along with a high level of Excel knowledge.

Your main duties will be:

Account management - manage and develop our relationship with clients and retailers. You'll have full responsibility for some of our key customers, as well as seeking and cultivating new business opportunities
Forecasting - generate and own the commercial forecast for your retailers and client. You'll work with the commercial, product and operations teams to ensure demand aligns with supply
Customer insight - hone a deep understanding of consumer behavior and their markets. You'll use this to guide your customer plans.
Commercial strategy - help develop and implement commercial plans, ensuring your clients are promoted and marketed well with top retailers to drive sales
Analysis - dig into the data to guide and support decision making. You'll work with Excel and sales data to measure performance.


The Commercial Executive - Food & Drink plays an integral part in furthering the business. As such they will be:

  • Experienced in FMCG, with knowledge of key retailers
  • Commercially astute, being able to identify trends and provide recommendations to further growth
  • A strong communicator and relationship builder, being able to communicate with individuals of all levels
  • Eager to learn and develop within a progressive environment
  • A keen negotiator
  • Able to take the initiative and be able to work independantly with little supervision
  • Flexible an able to adapt
  • Graduate level (or equivalent)
  • Commutable to the office in Hampshire
