Commercial Development Director New Business and RTM

The Advocate Group are partnered with a multibillion pound turnover FMCG business who are leaders in their field. They are looking to appoint a Commercial Development Director to join their global business.  They are a high profile Beverage company who are looking for the best talent to join their senior commercial team.

The ideal candidate will identify and pursue new business channels with a focus towards accounts operating at an international level. You will be involved in building and developing the RTM for the new channels to ensure that the supply solution and commercial proposition is efficient. You will be working closely with the Vice President to ensure plans drive action over and above local initiatives, current distribution and execution drives. There are no limits to this role so if you are a driven, passionate, commercial, strategic and confident candidate with significant International FMCG experience, this role may be perfect for you! 

Primary responsibilities:

  • Identify and target customers within the new channels from Travel/ Leisure to International food 2 Go and Foodservice 
  • Identify and target new sales distribution points not currently covered across all markets 
  • Influence EMEA strategy to build renewed focus on RTM/ Wholesale channels 
  • Build case studies to demonstrate best practise and roll out to International markets 
  • Develop full supply solution and value chain that will set the proposition ahead of competitors 

The successful candidate:

  • Significant commercial and sales experience in FMCG and preferably beverages.
  • Experience in both direct sales & managing and influencing a distribution system.
  • Experience in being able to interact across international borders at multiple levels. 
  • Multi-lingual and strong communication and presentation skills 
  • Experience of interacting with and in an international matrix environment
