Your new role
In this key role, you will support the Category Development Manager to deliver a consistent and innovative supplier strategy across all of their product categories. You will play a integral role in assessing supplier performance and putting in place measures to enhance margin, shape pricing, co-ordinate and organise NPD and support the Category teams with supplier negotiations. You will also be required to support the Supply Chain team via accurate reporting of pricing and margin, and support the Marketing Team through maintenance of the supplier contribution register, promotional activity and JBPs
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal applicant for role would be a Junior Buyer with experience in a Retail or Wholesale FMCG Buying office, who enjoys the Product Development element of the Buying process. You should be looking for a new challenge that will utilise your strong commercial acumen and supplier management experience. You will be well organised and able to prioritise your workload effectively and you will have the ability to work accurately under pressure. You will have strong communication skills and be able to build good rapport with others quickly and effectively. You will also be an enthusiastic team player who is eager to use their skills to the best of their ability at all times.
