A challenging procurement leadership role across a diverse, multi-site manufacturing business.
If you're an experienced indirect sourcing expert with highly sophisticated influencing skills this is a great opportunity to drive the strategy in a greenfield, indirect procurement function. My client is a market-leading manufacturing business supplying into all of the major retailers. They've been on an exciting journey over recent years and with a new leadership team in place it's a great opportunity to join this progressive, well-respected organisation.
They're now looking for an experienced indirect sourcing professional, someone who is a real influencer with advanced stakeholder management skills to set and implement the indirect spend areas across the entire business. You'll effectively manage both the group supply relationship, co-ordinating where necessary any site activities with the relevant Purchasing Managers and senior level Stakeholders. Often working at Board level you'll use your broad and varied indirect services experience, to continually seek commercial advantage throughout the company and help other budget holders achieve their targets.
Your extensive indirect strategic category management experience will cover Utilities, Engineering, MRO, Cap Ex and Distribution. You will be educated to degree level and have substantial indirect procurement experience within a multi-site, FMCG business. A real influencer, you'll need evidence of exposure to categories across all areas of corporate spend with a strong track record of results. Your stakeholder management skills will be your key strength with the ability to work across multiple categories in a complex, fast-paced business. A true category management approach to procurement is essential. Food industry experience would be a real advantage.
This role offers the opportunity for a sophisticated procurement expert to play a leading role in the strategy of the business long term. The role requires travel and there is a degree of flexibility around base but ideally candidates will live within a commutable distance to the East/West Midlands areas.
