National Account Executive - Asda & Morrisons

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated sales professional to gain NAE experience, develop their financial acumen through ownership of P&L’s whilst positively contributing to the wider success of much loved premium brands.
Through a refocus of the grocery team, they have identified the need to recruit a National Account Executive for the Northern Grocery customers. Reporting directly to the SNAM, this role will play a key role in supporting the delivery of key strategic retailer partnerships. Initially this is a support role, designed to learn the customers and working closely with the SNAM build on the very successful 2017, but will progress to owning part of the P&L quickly, depending on delivery. You will be responsible for working closely with customers and internal stakeholders in all aspects of forecasting, pricing, promotions and invoicing, building effective relationships internally and in customers. You will be required to develop a strong category understanding, contributing to the growth of the brands within their categories, and also play a key role in managing key NPD launches, engaging customers and maximizing the launch.
This is great opportunity for someone looking for their first National Account Executive role. You will be hungry and ambitious, eager to learn and develop into national accounts, but also must have experienced gained in the food and drink sector. Of degree calibre, you will ideally have gained classical blue chip FMCG training, maybe having operated in a regional account executive or sales executive role, or have operated in a sales support position, and now be looking to apply your training and skills in a customer facing national account exec position. You must be able to demonstrate outstanding relationship building skills, and have a keen eye for detail, high levels of intellect, and possess excellent listening skills. Previous P&L management experience is not a requisite, though you must be financially astute, this role will see you learn the skills needed to be a successful grocery account manager, progressing to P&L management as quick as your learning and delivery allows. The business also see this as an entry position to progress to National Account Management positions quickly.
