Brand Manager – Garden & Horticulture

Office Based Role - Cambridgeshire

Our client are a market leading producer of Garden & Leisure/Horticultural products. The brand and company have an exceptional reputation for innovative production of their product range that makes them stand out across the Garden & Leisure industry. As Brand Manager your main responsibility will be to develop, establish and deliver the brand proposition for the market leading range of growing media and fertilizer.

Main Duties:

  • Fully responsible for all elements of the marketing mix for the product range & brands
  • Develop a profound understanding of the market, its customers and consumers
  • Develop a rolling 24 month brand plan that delivers company goals, and delivers a long term sustainable, differentiated, competitive advantage
  • Working with Communication Manager and external agencies propose brand communication activity that delivers the brand goals
  • Manage the portfolio of SKU’s for profit growth, and to minimise complexity and cost
  • Working with the Sales team develop presentations to bring the brand plan to life
  • Working with Category team, manage in-store solutions
  • Working with Insight Manager, conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products, and analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
  • Working with the Technical team, and external partners, develop, propose and execute new product development
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
  • Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget 

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in FMCG marketing brand management
  • Garden, Leisure or Horticultural experience would be an advantage but not essential
  • Experienced in briefing & managing external marketing agencies
