A fantastic and rare opportunity to join a highly successful global food business and be involved at the very outset of an exciting new venture as the company embarks on a massive new investment strategy to develop and grow its presence both in the UK and Europe. Our client is a €multi-billion and highly respected global food company operating in over 70 countries around the world with a powerful reputation for innovation, quality and integrity. The company manufactures an extensive portfolio of well known and iconic brands, including many that are market leaders in their category. With a clear vision and strategy for growth the business has now set its sights on significantly expanding its UK & EU operations over the next few years and intends to invest heavily in these markets including significant expenditure in brand marketing and importantly its people.

As a result the company are now seeking to appoint two dynamic and driven National Account Managers to take responsibility for managing some of the UK’s Top Retail Grocery customers. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the National Account Manager role is high profile and will have a broad remit. This is an exciting and challenging role that requires strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of successfully bringing NPD to market and driving profitable category growth.

For these two positions we are looking for candidates with previous National Account Executive of National Account Manager experience within a recognised brand and/or own-label added value FMCG food/drink business and having previously worked on a Top 6 Retail account. What sets you apart from your peer group is that you can demonstrate all of the characteristics of a “Challenger” Account Manager. This means being able to fully understand the key economic and value drivers for the customer whilst challenging all aspects of the customer’s thinking, offering new insights and driving the communication and growth agenda between both parties to maximum effect.

Above all you are motivated by making a real difference, challenging customer assumptions and offering new insights and are a highly ambitious, driven individual with a personal style which enables you to work as a key member of a small, agile, fast paced team.

There is flexibility on location but candidates will ultimately be required to work from the company’s Midlands based office c.1-2 days per week.
