A well-known blue-chip manufacturer is looking for a shopper marketing manager to cover a period of maternity leave. You will be working in a large category and shopper team helping to deliver a range of retailer led activations and shopper insights.

The role

A well-known blue-chip manufacturer is looking for a shopper marketing manager to cover a period of maternity leave. You will be working in a large category and shopper team helping to deliver a range of retailer led activations and shopper insights.

The role will deliver a range of thought leadership pieces for retailers to help them create actionable shopper activity. You will also create brand activities and create shopper profiles and collateral to help influence shopper behaviour driving sales.

There will be a number of targets that will be agreed with the retailers and your role will be to help understand the shopper mindset and reach those targets. You will be working as part of a larger team who make sure that the employer is a category leader and are relied on by retailers for their insights and long-term vision.

The person

To be successful in this role it is essential that you have the following skills:
  • Strong shopper, trade or customer marketing from within an FMCG organisation
  • Good client liaison skills ideally with grocery retailers
  • Previous experience of working in a matrixed organisation
  • Strong understanding of the in store shopper journey
  • The ability to understand how in store marketing activity is going to change in the near future
  • An innovative mindset and not afraid to try new ideas
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Good project management
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and to prioritise as they see fit.
