Our client is operating an autonomous UK division of a recognized and much loved global food group. The approach of the group provides significant opportunity for individuals to grow both strategically within their role and practically as part of their careers. This has resulted in substantial global expansion across their operations, supported through a recent £multi –million investment, with an expectation that similar growth can be achieved in the highly autonomous UK division where substantial resource is being applied to technical, marketing and sales functions. This aside the UK business unit will remain highly entrepreneurial and retain total autonomy. For some this freedom from meetings will be exciting. Others may find it daunting!
You will join initially as head a small team, and as part of the senior leadership team, focus to build business within the retail channel. The pace of the operation is unforgiving and yet excitedly challenging for those who seek the opportunity to make step change in business, lead people and implement their own strategies.
The outputs of your activities will be delivered through both you and your team, so you must be as comfortable developing the blueprint for strategy that will involve integration with supply, manufacturing and logistics, along with the breadth to include on-line solutions within the portfolio.
This is not for the faint-hearted but for those aspiring to be the true business winning Sales Directors.
