On Trade Northern Account Manager - Champagne
Established for over 200 years, our client is one of the most distinguished family-owned Champagne Houses. They are renowned for handcrafting a diverse and pioneering range of fine champagnes that are produced to traditional, time-honoured methods in this time.
As an important addition to their team they are looking to appoint a Regional Account Manager for the North of England. The key responsibilities of this role will be to develop distribution for the full range of the portfolio within premium on-trade accounts, including boutique hotels, Gastro Pubs and event venues such as Leeds Racecourse and Manchester Arena. This will mean working closely with Regional Wholesalers, Regional Independent Fine Wine Retailers and Caterers. You will also be expected to support wholesaler sales teams and customers, organise and attend tastings and dinners, implement brand activity and host visits to the cellars in Champagne. As well as managing existing business, you will also be encouraged to develop new business opportunities for the business.
The successful candidate will be commercially astute with proven success within the premium on-trade sector and a thorough understanding of the needs of high profile, prestige customers. Working with a champagne house or within the wine trade is also required, as is knowledge of RTM’s, especially key regional wholesalers, as well as previous experience selling through third parties. The ideal candidate will be educated to WSET advanced or Diploma level qualified, highly self-motivated and analytical. You must also be living or willing to relocate to the North of England.
