Graduate Business Development Executive

You will manage a defined territory with an existing account base of c.80 Independent and Convenience stores plus some specialist retailers, along with an element of new business development. The role (and company) is very customer focused, they want people who can work with their accounts and develop relationships, effectively acting as mini-Business Managers and supporting them via a mutual growth plan. They don’t employ “reps”.
The role draws on a whole host of your skills and abilities in working with the retailer – sales, account management, new business, creative merchandising. So you’re going to need to be well prepared and organised, and confident in the fact that you will be operating remotely to targets and KPI’s.
You’ll need to be a livewire who really enjoys person to person contact, is looking to sell and achieve sales targets, and someone thrives in this type of fast paced environment. You can be a fresh graduate, or maybe you did a sandwich course with a year in business and looking to use that experience. Alternatively you will be working in a retail store manager position, or a more general commercial environment such as recruitment. In any case, you will be looking for a fresh opportunity to make your mark, be capable and pragmatic and action orientated, and ultimately have a fun, outgoing and articulate character.
